Confucius, an influential philosopher, once declared, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." In order to begin and succeed a goal, you need to be the one to make the first step. If you don't, you end up not fulfilling your goals in life.

Don't think too much of your actions, because overthinking complicates things. The outcome vary between positive and negative consequences. It can also hold you back from achieving your goals.

You should choose friends that see your potential and encourage you to become a better person. If you surround yourself with good influences you yourself will be influenced to become a better person.
Maxim once insisted, "If your're standing still, you're going backwards." Maxim promotes a life of progression and production. Without moving forward you end up getting left behind unconsciously. Success comes from working toward your future goals.

Someone once proclaimed, "There are no shortcuts to any place worth going." There are no shortcuts in life when you want to reach a goal. You should take every vital step in order to succeed. For instance, if you want to go to a prestigious college, you can't slack off and take the easy way out. You should take extra classes and put in more work than the rest. The extra effort will always pay off in the end.
